^ Chance would be a fine thing!
And I was fully clad in underwear AND shorts...but these buggers still find a way in.

^ Aaahh... now I know where her 'Joke Book for Ten Year-olds' went.
I can't work out whether that's a compliment or not... but as it's from you Cyrille I'm sure it's well meant!
Anyway... a follow up from Thursday's moan... after a couple of recesses the bladdy daughter annihilated me today. After landing on Mayfair with a hotel twice I got 'Advance to Pallmall' (with a hotel) and then Piccadilly (with a hotel) finally cleaned me out. I even did some dodgy dealings and told her that Liverpool St Station was easily worth 2000 quid...the cost of landing on Mayfair with a hotel.
There's nothing worse than being beat at Monopoly by a ten year-old girl.
I spoke with my 9yr old grand niece today. She is in a hospital in Udon Thani recovering from an operation to remove a large cyst growing close to her spine. It's been 3 weeks since the op now and results of the biopsy are not due until 23 July. Anyway, she now has another lump growing between neck and collarbone. Painless and slow growing but very worrying. She has a fever every couple of days or so and a blood infection of some sort. Doctors and nurses have been wonderful, it's not a private hospital but several grades above the normal Thai ones in the provinces.
Keeping my fingers crossed this isn't cancer...
Fokin' 'ell Troy. Best of luck to the little one.
No of course not, but maybe it wasn't quite the time.
sheesh.
woke up at 4.30 and can't get back to sleep.
Ants have invaded my front windows and wall, must have vacuumed a couple of hundred up tonight.
I blame the hottest day of the year here, but fook...they had wings.
Will be over soon
I think it's the worker ants getting rid of the male ant surplus.
Happens once a year
Fasting before a hospital checkup in the morning.
Wittle Edweena comes downstairs at 10pm asking if I can make toasted butter croissant and fried bacon.
Edith's ears pop up and requests the same.
Frying bacon, inhaling its perfect aroma, hearing the perfect sizzling pops, observing the glistening, melting fat, while unable to scoff it by the handful is simply torturous.
That’s what I was thinking, just scoff a little.
There is already talk of school not being in person for another year. Ooof indeed.
^OOh, that sucks. We are definitely going to be in person this September, but parents who don't want to send their children, have the option of learning online.
I can't do anymore online teaching. I am teaching a three week summer school online, which is finishing this Friday! My butt hurts from sitting! lol
