Any ideas what the above is in English even Gert is stuck trying to put into English not like her. Normally no problem.
Wife thinks it's in the village or district of Ruang Sirigun and is Moo Baan Boobee. One word before "Ruang" she can't make head or tail of and Moo baan is a guess as the spelling is odd.
Suspecting poor spelling by the person who named the place.
Thus Moo baan boobee,(something) Ruang Sirigoon.

You'll have fun telling your friends you live in Booby Village

There seems to be either typing errors or copy and paste errors.

If the text below is correct:

    หมู่บ้านไชยเรืองศิริกุล or หมู่บ้านชัยเรืองศิริกุล

    Chai-reuang-sirigun.

Take a photo of whatever signs are up and submit that as your address, and say that if they can make head or tail of it would they kindly tell you.

Sent you a PM Klong Toey.

Done a bit of Bogon investigation and have found where the mix-up is.

If you walk to the top of your soi, you will see a little blue street sign on your right hand side. This street sign end with a '2'

The mad thing is that the soi next to you is named the same as yours, also has the a '2' at the end, but with the word 'alley'.

In a nutshell...Your soi has the same name and soi number as the one next to you, exempt that the other soi ends in xxxxxxxxxxxx 2 Alley.

Not gonna link a Google Map because I don't wan't to be responsible for weirdos stalking you!

^If new to the area. You can check out a little steak place not too far. Has a wet market opposite, so the missus can buy the greens whilst you're having a beer.

    Map - https://www.google.com/maps/place/%E...!4d100.6364366

If you like your football and a bit of farang food, then pop down to Grumpy's Grill. The bloke that had The Crossbar by Cowboy runs it.

    Map - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gr...2!4d100.611956

...and this one is a Bogon Tip #957 because it's a beauty.

Take the missus to the Dusit hotel just before Seacon Square on a Friday or Saturday,
They have a dinner buffet with a drink as much Ashai draught as you can with no time limit!
Use Eatigo and it works out at 600 baht a head all in!

Thanks for the info we have lived about a 10 minute walk away from the new house for 5 years so I know the area well. Unlike our cat who gets lost as soon as she leaves our bedroom.

It looks like Google maps has the spelling all fucked up for KT's soi.

^ Being the OCD bloke that I am, I went through Google, Here and Bing maps.

I done a bit of snooping and found exactly where KT's house was and took a walk using Streetview. Found the blue sign at the top of the soi, and it matched exactly the same name as the next soi on without 'alley' added at the end.

Clicked a few businesses within 200 metres of KT's house, which is where I collected the remainder of his address.

Hopefully, this should suffice, or I will be sleeping with one eye open for the next few days.

I did the same but only using Google. On Google, the next soi along has a different name (Soi Siri-mongkol, if I recall correctly). Maybe an old image or perhaps I missed a soi. I also found a house for rent in the same soi as KT and they had the address the same as in my earlier post. Anyway, in my experience, Immigration don't look too closely at addresses so hopefully whatever KT writes for them shouldn't be a problem.

We used to wonder about that in Taipei during Winter. It was both. Taipei is at the mouth of a river and almost surrounded by mountains, so pollution gets held in. Then fog rolls in too.

I'm going with air pollution- it is only moderate at the moment with an AQI of 62, although I have to head into an area where it is 150 to do a bit of shopping for a friend up in Shan State- she needs a care package. Perhaps in return, she could nick some oxygen tanks from Doctors without Borders?!

Not a cold, I'm not feeling like I want to sleep and my eyes are burning something fierce. This could be an actual issue if I am overly sensitive to air pollution then winter is going to be miserable.

^get one of them burkas - the one with mesh for the eye part, worn by Afghan women. Either that, or get some false eyelashes, and you'll be lovely like a camel.

Hang in there, Mandy! Good luck with work, the cold and the invisible particles...

Surely the issue is that you don't have to be overly sensitive to it for winter to be miserable?

Those gauges seem to say 'This sucks!', not 'This sucks if you are overly sensitive'.

The heating is supposed to come on this afternoon, I hope it does as I am currently bundled up in two jumpers- it's 10 outside, so hardly freezing but this apartment is an ice block. The downside of heating is that the pollution will become much much worse; it's predicted to be "hazardous" tonight. One thing I did note hiking yesterday after it was pointed out by a coworker was how many locals were struggling for breath and coughing and a relatively easy hike. Admin also told me to prepare for absences in class, when kids get a chest infection here it often lands them in hospital.

Used to be a privilege to see a Spitfire a couple of times a year. Bloody thing flies over our place in Blighty about 8 times a day. The wars over and as I'm typing it's starting another bloody strafing run.
