FFS. International departure lounge, Hatyai, it's 6:45, and the convenience shop and the duty free shop are still closed. Currently there's 2 flights pending departure.
^ Yes. With the sort of rent they'd be paying I would have thought they'd take every opportunity at rorting a captive market.
And to top it off, Changi doesn't sell ciggies in duty free any more.
Moaning that my landlord won't allow me to have pets in here.... he's worried the floors will scratch. I mean, really!!!
The floors are already scratched from the huge glass coffee table in here that scratches the floor when it moves!
Grrr!!
Stop letting German men in then.
Why the ferk does Nev get a life.
Get a life.
...I think he probably meant "gird your loin"...
What ? Is he an amputee ?
...ah! you caught the use of the singular...
^ If you're happy being only semi-literate, carry on.
After a year of taking the gym more seriously I've picked up a minor but niggling injury. I seem to have torn a very small muscle (well, that would be most of them!) near my heel. It's surprisingly painful and annoying. Sunday is hiking day for me, guess that won't be happening. Got some movies to catch up on, so it's not all bad.
School are nagging me about staying on another year, which is a good sign- two years and I didn't fvck it up or piss the head honcho off. Supervisor is taking is badly and overreacting like a jilted housewife. I've already been told to clear my desk out and move to another office. Odd chap, calm one moment then yelling at teachers, teacher assistants and getting pissy with people on the phone the next moment.
I think so, there is an odd "Why would you even want to leave Myanmar!" attitude that has taken me by surprise. Nothing unbearably hostile, but it is somewhere odd imo- maybe even immature? There again, he country was closed for decades, it's all most people know but this is changing very quickly. Just another cultural difference, no big deal. Only a month of this funny chap to deal with then it's proctoring exams (boring) and summer school where we teach kids from local schools. Summer school is a great high to end the contract on. The students are beyond eager and absurdly easy to manage- English skills are lower than what I'm used to but they are so switched on teaching them is a total pleasure.
Despite my moans (I'm British!) I will miss quite a few things from this place.
^ Brits don't moan? They get cross, or irritated.
Somewhat flustered and mildly vexed
hmm would I prefer being semi-literate and having an enjoyable life having holidays enjoying my freedom and having lovely children or living in a rented room alone night after night and spending my free time being a prisoner of my own existence.
Ye I choose to be semi-literate
Thanks perhaps I can help you with some extra income.
You could possibly have a nice holiday or splash out on Heinz beans or somewhat along those lines.
