Rule number one live near to the BTS.
Rule Number 2 live near the expressway.

Timing is important in BKK. There are a few windows but apart from the obvious rush hours one must avoid school pick up hour.

^ Yeah, some people really ramble on. Best to skip through at first to assess it.

My daily moan : I'm so sick of this ever more crowded city and sitting at traffic lights...not to mention the sheeple drivers.

    Treason?
The Fifth of November - English Folk Verse

    Remember, remember!
    The fifth of November,
    The Gunpowder treason and plot;
    I know of no reason
    Why the Gunpowder treason
    Should ever be forgot!
    Guy Fawkes and his companions
    Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
    All up alive.
    Threescore barrels, laid below,
    To prove old England's overthrow.
But, by God's providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
    A stick and a stake
    For King James's sake!
If you won't give me one,
    I'll take two,
    The better for me,
    And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn'orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
    Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!

Sitting having a beer with another farang and there's a road accident in front of us. 2 motorcycles collided in the center of the road. About 6 people were lying in the road, including kids, screaming and crying. I rushed over to lift the motorcycles as they had pinned the passengers legs underneath.
The guy I was drinking with got up at the same time as me and I thought he was going to assist as well. No, the ignorant cnut only got up to record the accident scene on his fcuking phone. What a fcuking

To be fair, his record has the potential of backing up your version of events should some numbskull think that because there's a farang on the scene, it must be his fault.

^ The thing is that a farang witnesses to an accident is the last person a policeman will want a statement from. I witnessed a similar accident a year or so ago while sitting at the same bar. I was the only person who was prepared to help this poor guy who was badly injured after a car hit him. The audience were only interested in filming this poor guy on the ground. It took the police 30 minutes to arrive. The station was 100m away. I was never interviewed.

I wish Teak Door had a "go back to main list" type link at the bottom of each thread. They've got "next thread" and "previous thread", so why not also "main list"? Next or previous is a sort of a lucky dip and one wouldn't want to inadvertently go to a thread one has been trying to avoid, also one does not want to scroll to the top of the page (all that way!) to go back to peruse what's new in the last two minutes.

^ Ta, but that takes me to all new posts throughout the entire forum.
What I wish is to be taken back to eg, in this case, Famous Threads. Currently my only options are the next or the previous, or scrolling up to the top to click the Banal Banter>The Lounge>Famous Threads directory.

Scrolling up is such a bore.

Which main list do you want?

Go to the browser page URL at the top of your screen and select all the text after "teakdoor.com/". Delete it and type in forum.php to end up with
    teakdoor.com/forum.php Then hit enter.

Don't want forum home then practise a bit until you get what you want.

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
