Kids out of school - again - for a storm that came nowhere near us - again. While I feel for the unfortunates who are bearing the brunt of the storm, it would be nice if they exercised a bit of common sense in the Department of Education rather than just randomly closing schools for no reason - again.
Spent $500 on the car in the last week.
Today the wife drove us to the shopping centre (on her learners permit) and, while I was saying "c'mon c'mon c'mon....turn" to try to get her to turn the wheel a bit more so she wasn't straddling two parking bays, her poor little brain seized up and she pushed the accelerator instead of the brake. We accelerated straight into a brick wall.
Luckily plastic bumpers are very shock-absorbent, but it was rather off-putting when we went right up over the large lump of concrete put to stop cars going any further, and into the wall.
I must confess to the cardinal no-no of yelling "YOU FUCKING RETARD" at an Issaan woman. I had visions of crumpled bonnet, smashed lights and the new radiator punctured. But luckily, only bumper damaged.
A multi-tasker she ain't.
Friday morning hangovers........BASTARDS!
Trying to teach G/F to drive in Indo. Same thing accelerator not brake. Drove into the kitchen wall at the end of the car port.
About 3 years later on a different contract, I went to a party at the same house. I asked the then resident if he had ever wondered whose car left the imprint of a licence plate in the wall.
He said he had never noticed, so lots of examination, laughing and more drinking ensued
Oh sorry OT as not MY house and not MY car.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.
You people, you think I know feck nothing; I tell you: I know feck all
Those who cannot change their mind, cannot change anything.
I think our cat is taking yaba.
Psycho cat beware.
Early morning flight and a hangover, bastard.
As I walk a lot during the day..encounter numerous stairs..finally realized that you climb up on the right hand side and desend on the right hand side..
They even have arrows on some stairways to prove it..
Taken me 12 years to figure it out..
Old age..bastards
You can easily get pissed (annoyed) when able body drivers park in the 'disabled alloted car spaces'.
But untill I had kids I had no idea how many cars with disabled drivers park in the dedicated spots for parents with babies/kids and prams.
The wife has just given me a huge ear bashing about the 5 baht rice price and the politics there of. Just because I mentioned a few years ago that Thaksin still hasn't paid his taxes.
What's wrong with the natives driving cars with a broken bulb in their left turn indicator?
You would think that they would change it for a new one!!!!
^ Yeah, you gotta wonder why the bulb blew in the first place. It's only ever used once a month, if that. Should outlive the car.
For the umpteenth time, someone on a motorbike overtook me on the right so as to turn left right in front of me.
Must have saved at least half a second rather than slow down and turn left behind me.
^ Yeah, I see car drivers do that too. Thinking ahead and efficiency - lacking.
Chickenheads parking on the left with the right indicators on.
Chicken-heads driving in low light and rainy conditions without fcuking headlights on. Oh, and chicken-heads driving in the right hand lane continuously.Originally Posted by ENT
What's with all the parking up and opening the bonnet before walking away?
^Letting the (turbo) engine cool.
Some of our works pickups are fitted with "turbo-timers" to allow diesel turbos to cool gradually.
