Looks like an adventure for you there.
A very successful one.
No water - your great strength.
Yeah , cheers Wills , another 2 weeks and we will be over for a month , so I will be painting out in the heat again for a few weeks once I’ve done all the repair / decorating work on the in-laws houses
Dunno if I posted this piece on here some years ago when we went to Italy ,, anyway it’s not so much about the painting , this post is about where it’s going next and more to the point how it got there .
Now then we are in Tieland now and before we came over I asked one of TD’s esteemed members if he would like one of my paintings to adorn ,, ok then ruin the wall , of one of his new business ventures ,, he mentioned he would like a bit of Tuscany so I had this beast sitting in my second bedroom feeling unwanted and to my delight it fitted the bill
Now then ,, despite the fact my wife has a case / trunk big enough to swallow a days landfill , this wasn’t going to go in ,, so ,, what to do ,, I sawed the bugger in half after meticulously unpicking 3002 staples and then reassembling it over here !
Very very surprised I got it all back together ,, infact it’s better than it was before
Here it is reassembled in our little issan shack ,, maybe , just maybe we will get a shot of it in its new home later
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
Sorry to hear things haven’t been great, hope it turns around soon & merry Xmas to you.
Looks good, Nigel.
If you ever find yourself in Durham, Nigel, Prebends Bridge and the River Wear might be worth a visit for a bit of painting; either painting the bridge from the river walk or painting the view from the bridge. There are other great views along the riverside. If you're into painting buildings, a walk up and down the North and South Bailey might interest you.
A couple of screenshots from Google maps street view.
