No Wills straight over the top mate ,, all I did was sand it a little with my Bosch cordless sander .

Tbh this was just a little mess about out in the fresh air on the prom ,, a couple of ole gals in a nearby hut made me a cuppa others stopped by to check out my set up , just a lovely afternoon ,

When I do a serious piece to sell over the top of an old shitter I never worry too much either about what’s beneath , tbh very often strangely enough it’s adds organic interest as it shows through underneath ,, painting for me was never meant to be sterile .

One of my mates who loves London icons is actually laying up there in Harley Street right now after a massive life changing op.

So I knocked this up today to give to his misses so hopefully when he comes home in a months time it will cheer him a little

Just gonna make a little frame for it today and the jobs a goodun .

On a separate note I had a request from an ex work colleague for oil painting lessons starting this Friday , could have knocked me down with a feather as he was kinda known as the stressed out Mr Angry before he retired four years ago like I did but apparently has now developed a desire to paint in oils and has asked me for some help in getting started.

This will be a great hobby for him to get immersed in as so many people have found during the past couple of years in lockdown

Just a little update from Fridays lesson given to an ex work colleague now retired ,, he absolutely loved it ,, never painted in his life before and 2.5 hours later he left mine to go home with a painting on the back seat of his car .
He wants more lessons and is looking forward to coming out painting plein air with me once he is confident enough .
He had no idea where that time went and when he got home no one would believe he had painted it

I had a very small amount of paint left over on my pallete from another painting I’d been doing and thought I’d have a go at carving out a bit of the carnage in Ukraine last week .

Allthough a very different scenario it put me in mind of when my eldest son was in charge of a warrior with 5 other guys under his command in Bosnia during that conflict . He was the youngest ever in that regiment in charge of one of them vehicles and I was so proud of him but shit scared at the same time.

I can only imagine the horrors the families of these brave soldiers are going through everyday

That looks more like a Panzer IV than an Armata-14 which makes it even more brill!

Maybe an artistically licensed commentary on the echoes of the lebensraum nastiness that is being replayed by Vlad.


Well it is not a painting but is kind of a work of art.

I mean if the that dick-wad Damien Hirst can stick a shark in a fish tank filled with his own piss then I can glue insects that I have slowly tortured to death onto a picture of a storm brewing

Miss Mindanao's favourite specimen is the skull of the possum that drowned in the water tank 1 year ago

I think it is my favourite too. Adds a gothic caste to the creepy crawlies.
