you're
Thanks ^ where's me red ???
Thanks for asking, mate. You'll have to wait until this evening, but I'll probably choose a better post than that.
Now, back to art.
I'm trying to think what to draw and colour in next. Nothing too difficult, of course, as I'm not very good at it. Any suggestions, Nigel. (I'll forgoe the painting by numbers).
How about painting a rainbow in grey scale
I am jealous of your artistic abilities of which I have zilch...
That swirling wave/ocean view is awesome.
A black pencil will suffice ,, grey scale is derived from black to white
If thats a bit of a challenge how about having a go at The Mona Lisa in a full burqha ? its all in the eyes
Thankyou kindly Dicky boy , glad your enjoying the thread stay tuned I am going to be doing more work to that wave over the weekend , long way to go yetOriginally Posted by NZdick1983
In the meantime after a weeks work , tonight I had a very nice relaxing couple of hours on the new ipad pro
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
No its IOS exclusive but it cost me £4. 49 p on Apple
Its Procreate has a huge interface to learn , havent realy scratched the surface of it yet
IMO its worth every penny
There are alternatives on android such as Tayasui Sketch I believe which is free and has a redo button plus palm rest feature on board
Neverna you could try a painting prog called Artrage, you can buy online, or steal it here-
android version:
TusFiles | Free Cloud Storage
just hit download, its safe.
But you really need a digital pen, or at least a mouse, to utilize these kind of art programs properly,
I have a lovely wacom intuos pro, for my PC version, but on my Android tablet, when I occasionally use it, I have to draw with my finger or thumb , which is going to come out, well a little abstract ,,,,, i like the loaded pallet knife tool or roller brush, it also has a oil brush too that can be set to paint nice and thick.
I got that one as well Blue I like the oil tube on that one , just wish it had a knife to paint with ,, or mabe it has ?? Ive been a bit bust lately .
Anyway talking about being busy I have just finished my swirly wave ,, this one looks better in the real than it does on here , but anyway it gives you the idea
Here's some nice ones done in grey-scale, from Jules Verne books,
Shows how important contrast is.
Are they what they call lithographs Blue ?
I watched a program years ago about an old artist in London city who had a tiny workshop , took ages and ages to produce each one , made a good living from them and most of the money went to the wine bar opposite every lunchtime
I'm lovin' that wave!
Cheers Chas ,, that one sold as soon as the paint was dry ,, I have had enquiries now about doing another one the same and a huge one of the same
BTW it looks lovely in the white frame I put it in
Wow! what a great inspirational thread this one is , thankyou Nigel for all your ideas and input into this one .
I like to paint aswell in my spare time , but I only use oil paint in mine , as and when I get the hang of how to load a picture up to the gallery I will post some pics , I nearly got it the other day , but ended up with a funny little box ? thingy
havnt posted for a while. Here is my latest art work.
hope you like it.
i cheat because i have no artistic abilities but i do like a good paint by numbers. I'm midway through mona lisa at the moment
That's pretty cool. Where did you get that?
Not really cheating.
Graphic artists & illustraters trace off all the time.
If you are happy painting that way, keep it up.
