The Finals - Asian best picture contest

Well at last we are down to the last 3 pictures, first up is kingwillys picture of some rice fields.

Second up is Benbaaa with a picture of a Nun overlooking the Mekhong River.

And 3rd up is machas gory picture.

Three GREAT pictures, but I have to go with Benbaaa's beautiful picture of the nun over looking the river!

What I find so interesting about this photo is Benbaaa seems like such a degenerate, but he took such a delicate picture, it shows a whole other side of him!

Inside that weird avatar is a wonder & sensitive artist!

yeah my guess is he woke up drunk one afternoon by the river and just found the pic there in his camera in between some pics of tits and arses

Benbaaa hands down, great composition, even if it IS lucky

, and the contrast in available color makes it really interesting.

Benbaa's. I remember coming across it in the gallery a while ago and was really drawn to it without really knowing why which makes it great.

King willy broke a golden rule of photography and took that photo in the middle of the day which gives it a washed out feel as well as lacking any real point of interest.

Machas is good but is a bit too heavy for a competition about portraying a feeling for Asia in general. Look at it then Bebaas and you will see what I mean.

You're clearly in the lead already, I don't think you need to vote for yourself.

However, IMHO I would crop the left hand side just slightly, the pillar on an angle with the river showing through distracts from the subject. Leave 3/4 of the pillar as a frame but cut out the river on the left.

BTW. The building that the nun is staring at is a brothel thinly disguised as a disco. Unless I'm getting confused with Chiang Khong.

the building in benbaas pic. is a casino. in burma. open to the public, if you can show 10,000 baht. if you can show the money, you get a free long tailed boat ride to the casino. no stamp required for the passport either. it's about 60 km up the road from where i live
