    Thai-born US-citizen Land Ownership

I have scrolled the forum and sub-topics and not found an answer to this question. Is it lawful for a Thai-born, US-citizen to be listed on the Blue Book, Tabian-Baan?

My wife is Thai-born and a US-citizen. She went to the amhoe-office in Sawang Daen Din to update her Thai-i.d. and the gent there voided it by punching a hole in it and told her to get her name removed from the Tabian-Baan, as she was a foreigner, since she traveled on a US-passport. Is this correct?

She picked up her voided i.d. and left and did not go elsewhere at the amphoe to remove her name from the Tabian-Baan. She is the sole name on it.

Where, online, can one find English-text of Thai Land Ownership Laws?

Firstly land ownership is recorded on a Chanote
House registration is recorded on a Tabian Baan

Aliens can be registered in a yellow Tabian Baan

She is thai born and so eligible for a thai ID and thai passport
Did she enter thailand on a US passport?

    I think you should read this ;
www.imm2.go.th • View topic - A person with two nationality passport.

"3. For individual who enter into the kingdom with foreign passport then changed nationality to Thai. If he/she still use that foreign passport, the officer make a report to Special Branch to revoke Thai nationality."

She should still be able to go back.
A friends wife had US citizenship for years.
Eventually the authorities asked her which one she wanted to be.
If she wanted to stay US then she had to leave etc.
If not she could stay and be reinstated as Thai.

^also depends on when she got married. If she was married prior to the 2002 (? question the date - might have been earlier) Supreme Court ruling on equal treatment of sexes in Thailand, Thai women had to give up their Thai 'rights' on marrying a foreigner - such as the right to own land and vote.

This has changed, but not sure it applies to Thai women who married before the court date.

NB to OP - in one of my articles I did quote the court case. Look it up and if you were married before that date - that might be the reason why
