What can i do about defamation by an admin on a forum?

From the OP:

"The admin of a forum, ........, has posted some very unpleasant defamatory allegations about me last week"

Without a link to the thread in question on this mysterious forum, it's all bluster... Seems the OP has pissed off anyway...

I didn't say that this part was defamatory. I said that he made ridiculous defamatory allegations (that I sexually abused his daughter, if you must know) and made sure the post included lots of details about me so that if anyone where to google me and my address they'd find this horrible stuff. My children are avid users of the internet so I hope to dear god that they don't do any searches about me.

I am peaceful mannered chap. with only love toward my fellow men (not in a gay way). The story has nothing to do me actualy, but was interested because I know another fellow BM here, who has quite recently threatened me with legal action on another forum. It was all bluff of course and he is broke, so legal aid for a civil case would be right out of the window.

What was amusing, is that the 2 BMs who made a defamatory remarks against him were named Jesus Christ and Satan 555. I can just imagine the court case now and the headlines

I remember a case when we were getting rid of a load of gypsys from some land, we had donald duck, mickey mouse, pluto plus a load of other disney characters, was quite funny, court chucked them off the land and that though.

Thanks Nigel, I will bare that in mind.

I hadnt realised that TD was a gay friendly forum. That's good to know.
