    VAT on fruit and vegetables?

    Does anyone know if VAT is added to fruit or vegetables?

    VAT is not applied to raw foods.

    Once they are cooked or prepared in some way by a restaurant then VAT is added.

    Thanks for your answer.

    So this means that fruit and vegetables vendors does not need to add VAT correct?
