    Good Import Company in Thailand

Can anyone recommend a really good import company in Thailand?

I'm looking for one which can deal with all the hassles of arranging import licenses, customs clearance, etc and one that preferably can arrange door-to-door shipping (from US to here)?

Honestly mate - all agents are cunts (like estate agents)

It's very easy to do it yourself.

You will be allocated an agent this end as part of the package from the US (standard)

When your shipment arrives the agent will contact you and send you a (very expensive) quote (about 4 times more than the real cost)

At that point get in a pick-up/truck and go to the port (for Bangkok-Khlong Toei) and just pick it up. It takes 30 minutes and you save 75% (charges this end)

It's the reverse psychology here tax-wise than the UK. Tax is 30% if it's personal (luxury tax) but only 1% if its for business. A thai business costs about 2000bt to set up. Do the maths

^^ I'm talking about importing a 40' container load once or twice a month. The contents need prior Thai FDA approval and import licenses, never mind about taxes.

This is not a 'do it yourself' job.

    Chi,

I have used these guys twice. Once as the agent for Mayflower when my mom and passed and I was getting some of her stuff sent from Louisana. Then I used them to move from one house to another. Not a problem one. Door to door service and no problems with the tax people at all. Highly recommended.
