    Double Glazing Cost?

I'm thinking of fitting double glazing to try and keep the noise both in and out. It's not that it's noisy where i live it's just that the town/shop type houses are a spits distance away. I prefer wood type plus it will look better with the character of the house.

Has anyone fitted and if so was the cost worth it?

double glazing is made for heat retention/insulation

the gap is not suitable for noise reduction, although they do reduce noise

you need an approx. a 15cm gap to be an effective noise insulation

better fitting windows usually does the trick!

I'm sure I saw some really cheap double glazed units at HomePro the other day. They looked like the were made by Thais or Chinks, so they'll probably last about a week.
