    Actually they spin quite quickly with very little wind, and I am pleased with mine.
    No leaks even in a real Thai downpour......
    I still use aircon in the heat of midday, but it runs less and cools more now.
    Best 2200 bht I ever spent.....oh no. I tell a lie. SHE was fan-bluddy-tastic!

    Thats right mate, lets stick together. Actually, I reckon a passing bird would generate enough wind to spin it. Maybe if we tethered a bird to the top by one wing and had it fly around in circles...

    "ugly looking things but they work" unquote: actually they are, so you try to install on the out-of-view side of your roof if possible. I'd thought they all were the same colored galvanized steel, but here in CMai, just past the turn at the Chang Puek police box heading S toward the stadium on the left side, they sell colored versions to blend in with your roof color.
