    Water pipe diameter

    Hi,
I need to drill 2 holes in brick wall for water in and a drain out.
I would like to bring the correct size masonry hole saws with me on next trip.
Can someone please tell me the diameter of the blue pipe usually used for water in and diameter of regular drain pipe?
    Thanks.

Is this supply line from a pump or city?

    Honestly I bought a set of masonry hole saws. I bought 1", 1.5" 2" and 3".

Typically, water pipes into the house are 1", and drain pipes (grey water) are 2". These are obviously pipe internal diameters so you need to add the pipe wall thickness. As Stumpy suggested, best get a selection of hole saws.

Why not buy the masonry drills when you get here? They're exactly the same as you'd buy back home.

    One minute sir.

Edmond McCheddar III at your service.

Had one of the bathrooms rearranged when renovating, and the pipes appear to be:

    From the left:

    Bumgun.
    Sink in.
    Sink out.

    Technical measurements.

    2 and a smidgen cm.

    4 and a goodbit/5 on a good day cm.

    So far no leaky.

Prag,IMHO I have to say, the quality you purchase here is really bad. Most are sadly cheap Chinese junk and only cut once. I am not sure where P76 hails from, but if you pick up a good set in the US, they will last a long time. Mine were manufactured by a company is Wisconsin out of high speed carbon steel. Used them many times. I guess if this is a one off type project, then buy off Lazada or Shoppee.

On Edit, I saw you noted Masonry drills. Those are OK here, use and toss. Masonry hole saws are different. Like wood hole saws.

And probably cheaper as usually made in China anyway.

    Thanks for the quick replies.
I looked at Homepro website and they had Jack.
Also easier to arrive with what I need, then wasting time going shopping to hear the all too common " no have"

Absolutely agree. Every trip I make back to the states, I make a list and bring back a suitcase or 2 full of tools and supplies I just do not want to chase finding here. Why make the job harder...the idea is to make it easy

    Good Luck

    That's 3/4" for the sink and bum-gun and a 2" drain-pipe.
