good morning fellow plumbers,
after lots of huffing and puffing by an international plumbing crew (Thai/Burmese/German) the following issues/results can be reported:
check valve at the pipe end (tank) cleaned, but seemed to be ok ==> works
pump still did not build up enough pressure! ==> pipes checked and sealing tape renewed where possible. Air relief valve O-Ring checked and cleaned, and sealing tape applied to the valve screw thread
Pump works, builds up pressure, all seems to be good and no issues with suction (pipe is 1.5m down the tank, 0.5m more than what's recommended by Grundfos.
Seems like there was air somehow coming into the system, combined with fai dab for an hour resulted in pump failure... and when I tried to refill the pump could not get the pressure working bc it was sucking air from either a pipe not being properly connected or the air relief valve was not closed properly.
Or - something completely different which we accidentally now fixed without knowing, the luck of the accidental plumber...
Thanks again for all your help, great forum
best Horst
