Same thing happen to us we got air con cleaned watched the guys jet wash and clean filters.
Few weeks later water pissing out, managed to get the guy that fitted it to come out,he was on holiday when we wanted it cleaning.

He fixed it for no charge,we only have one unit in our bedroom because its got a 30 ft window and its fecking hot in there.
Used a fan in our old place for years no problem after a month in the new place had to put air con in.

and where does one pick one of these up in Bangkok Thailand?

The 2 fellas that turned up today seemed to know their stuff.

My bedloom A/C was choked due to the previous monkeys not doing the job properly.
In total they spent just over 6 hours servicing 6 A/C's , although 2 of them (in the man cave) just needed a quick clean.

    Total cost 2,300 baht.
I would post pictures but life's too short.

^You seem to know (or know how to Google) a lot about A/C's for someone who thinks anyone who uses one is a pussy .

    Fuck off Jeff.

Nope. But they are very busy and have to be booked in advance. Very difficult to get them in the very hot months!

3 guys in a pickup with ladders and high pressure washer. Yes it is all very Thai but the place is cool.

    PS,

I thought the moisture build up that goes through the drain was due to the dehumidification process which is half the reason I use A/C at ambient temperature?

Is my A/C freezing up or the outlet blocked??

PS, I had it serviced a while back and got told 'No plobrem Midter', after being charged 400 baht for fuck all.
Take off the filter after it has been running for a couple of hours and see if the coil has any ice. (I assume the filter has just been cleaned). If there is no ice check that the drain is clear. If drain is blocked you can clear it by blowing back up the pipe. Do carefully or you might end up with water and crap on your wall.

Ice????? How do produce ice with a cooling coil that would struggle to get below 15C?

^I can't answer your fair question Bob but know he's right. Have pulled dirty filters off leaky aircons a few times before to find solid ice covering the coil. All that can be done then is to run the unit in fan-only mode while it defrosts, with a few buckets and towels catching the downpour. Not good.

Used to happen in the Land Cruiser AC's in Malaysia. Had to turn off every roughly half an hour for about 45 seconds. One guy even had a "auto" timer to do it automatically.
