    Looking for a Forman/Build Manager

    So finally we ( Wife n I ) have secured the ownership of the shophouse we have been looking at for over 3 years.

    Now we are planning on doing a full renovation of he building and converting it to a Mini condo of sorts.

    Now we are at the stage where I feel I need some assistance and my wife will still be working full time during the build I have decided It might be good to have a
    Foreman/Manager for the project
    • A Thai who can speak English and is willing to work with me as my go to guy.
    • For sourcing build materials
    • Understanding my Plans and relating them to the building crew
    • General Problem solver etc..
    Concept plans for the renovation

    Exterior

    Interior of rental floor

    Interior of apartment

    Just some images to show what is planned
    IMHO its not a hugely major structural job more a cosmetic makeover with some additional walls and a fill in of the mezzanine floor.

    Anyone know of such a man/woman?

    Obviously they will be employed/reimbursed for their time
    Any suggestions Ideas and comments welcome

    Cheers
    DUTCHW

    If in Bangkok I can recommend an excellent firm that will oversee/manage the project for 2000bt per visit (normally every other day or so) so time-wise approx 50-80% of project duration. They will make sure that you get exactly what you agree on from all suppliers and contractors regarding spec and standard. PM for details.

    HI guys Sorry Not replied I did not get any Email notification of posts on the thread so I assumed it had none.

    @juehoe
    its in Bangkok CBD near On Nut/Bang Chak BTS station.

    @Dapper
    2000 per visit seems pretty steep no? I would hope that the service is more than just a Part time overseer for 28000 bhat per month..???

    So Im guessing no other suggestions..
