Screen resolution for 32" LCD TV

I use my 32" LG LCD TV as a monitor, mainly to watch movies with my laptop, as well as the main TV. Also good for surfing the web and youtube while sitting back on the couch.

Just rented a new condo and it comes complete with a 50" TV, so my 32" will be relegated to a 2nd computer monitor with my main PC. How smal lcan you get the resolution and what video card do you need? ATM it's the maximum 1366x768, the same for the laptop and PC. The PC currently has NVIDIA video card, not sure the specs as it's in getting a new motherboard. I want to get them to also add a video card that will give me smaller resolution on the TV, but ran into a communication break down.

It would be sweet if I could get the fonts to be as small as on my 20" screen (or even smaller). Not sure if it's even possible, maybe I should just sell the TV (less than 1 year old) and use the cash to buy a high end PC monitor. Any advice is much appreciated.

The video card I have is Galaxy GF 7300 512MB 128 bit. I was most dissappointed after purchasing that I couldn't get smaller resolution on a regular monitor.

Dell 27inch computer monitor LCDs with something like 2400x1400 or more sell for maybe 800 USD. Thats what I would get.

If it has DVI or HDMI out, then yes.

CHeers. After a bit of reading it appears the TV can't possibly be any smaller resolution, I thought it was more about the video card than the screen but appears not.

Dunno yet, will let you know. Gonna price those high end screens, I was in Icon (Chiang Mai) today, but it's all cheap stuff nothing high-end. Will check out the mall this week. If I can also use the good monitor as a TV, will probably sell the 32" and go that way.
