Ive got a problem. I wan to install the East Asian languages for XP on my computer but I dont have an XP install disc as the computer was an off Ebay jobbie.
Does anyone know how or if you can install the Thai script somehow without an install CD?

Or if it doesn't work buy a thai XP copy and pick the language pack to install in your OS.
Download Ubuntu 10, burn it to disc, install over Windows--All problems solved.
I knew how to do that part but the actual language packs had been missed out on the install, bought it from an IT recycler without any discs. Found the i386 language folder on a download but for some reason still doesnt work.
Might do that anyway, this is the kids computer so could be time for and education in Linux
Well Im posting this from Ubuntu running from a flash drive, picked up my wireless USB adapter instantly which was the main concern. May look into a dual boot when I get Thai script running on it.
neat, isn't it ? Ubuntu did a lot of progress in the last year or soOriginally Posted by melvbot

Have you ever even seen Ubuntu running? What do you think *might* be the difference between Ubuntu and Kubuntu (there is a hint in the 'K') or all the other *buntus out there?Originally Posted by Butterfly
699MB < 1024MB. Clear enough peaBrain?Originally Posted by Butterfly
I'm actually downloading PCLinuxOS 2010 Gnome to install in Parallels. I've already installed the beta KDE version a few weeks ago but I don't like KDE4.
Everything works out of the box, with all the proprietary plugins and drivers included. Even Dropbox is available by default.
Radically Simple PCLinuxOS
