    Burning issue help needed

Been trying to burn some torrents onto dvd today and have come across a problem that I can't seem to get my head around.

I use nero express and burn the movie files onto a data dvd so I get 6 movies on 1 dvd.
Everything is fine until I click 'burn' at which point a 'save image file' window pops up asking me where I want to save these files. This has never happened before and normally at this point the dvd would start to burn without problems.
How do I bypass this 'save image file' thingy as I just want to burn the fecking movies and I'm now not able to.

    Thanks for any advice.

Make sure where it says 'source' that your DVD drive is selected in the drop down box.

Sometimes in Windows XP your DVD Drive is sometimes not detected and a default option is selected (usually a local drive). This might be your problem.

If you use Divx Converter you can burn the files to the DVD and they will still play in a Divx-enabled DVD player.

Thanks for the tip, but still not working properly.

I don't understand why this 'save image file' window keeps popping up after I click the burn key. I've burned 100's of movies and this is the first time this has happened. Haven't changed any settings either.

Is it detecting your drive? Does your DVD Burner appear in the 'source' dropdown menu?

I experienced a similar problem using Nero Express. Related to what filch has been saying, it was the drive itself not being recognised (turns out it was completely stuffed).

What do you mean by 'source' dropdown menu?

There's a dropdown menu on the 'disc content' window (says 'my disc')
And another one on the 'final burn settings' window (says image recorder 'dvd')

After I hit burn a 'save image file' window pops up asking me where to save the files.

Exactly Ant, I had the very same issue. Intermittently it would recognize my drive, it's a known XP issue. Google it Muffin.

Not sure what version of Nero you're running, but look at this screenshot (ignore the actual content as I ripped it from another site explaining how to do something else)

See the 'burn' tab at the top right, click that and there should be options under there for where you want to files to be burnt to, i.e. the 'source'.

    I'm running Nero 7.

Clicked the 'burn' tab but no options for source.

Feck it, i'll take the lappy to Pantip next time I'm in town, I neither have the patience nor the computer knowledge to deal with this today (and I'd rather not put my fist through the screen either).

    Thanks for the effort anyway
