And will this be Windows Vista capable if I ever want to upgrade?

    HP Pavilion a1389L - 30,958 Baht
    Intel Pentium D820 (2.8 GHz)
    512 MB DDR 533 MHz (Max 2Gb)
    160 GB S-ATA hard drive 7,200 rpm
DVD +- RW double layer 8.5 Gb
ATI Radeon X200 upto 256 MB
    Stereo Sound 7.1 Surround
17” LCD TFT Screen 1024x768 with integrated speakers
    56k Fax/Modem 10/100 LAN
    7 x USB 2.0 ports
    HP multimedia keyboard
    Optical scrolling mouse
    1 year warranty
DOS version, but the guy will throw in Windows XP and some other software
I’m basically going to use it for the internet, some games, MS Office applications, storing and fiddling with photos.

Any comments? (In layman's language, please).
    1. Ask them how much a slightly better Radeon card ( 512 MB) would cost, it might just be worth it.

    2. Ask them to install Win XP Pro. for you as part of the deal, that way they will resolve any small issues that may arise, unless of course you are equiped to do so yourself.

    3. Bluetooth & a wireless card would be nice little extras, budget permitting.

    4. 30k sounds about right for that configuration.
