Download youtube videos easily

So to download youtube vids, just go to the video you want to download, in the url just before it says youtube add "ok", click enter and you get to save or play it, ie if the vid is youtube. com/watch?v=IndG just change it to okyoutube.com / watch?v=IndG and hit enter.

Nice one. There is another easy way to download You Tube videos .....In fact just about any video from any scource ( almost ) , which is to download the free version of Real Player from here :
The social and portable media player to download videos from the web - www.real.com

The free version is good for just about any video download from porn to movies to youtube.....very easy and totally free . Been using it for 2 years and find it indispensible.

^Watch the video or look at the picture, it is okyoutube, not wwwok.youtube.

^^Thats quite true finch, you can find the video you want, then google real player, then download it, then install it and then download the video if you still have that window open, or, you could just type the letters "ok".

Neat trick, but it does mean you go through another website for the download.

I prefer the Firefox addon downloadhelper. It can download as flv or as mp4.

If you already have RealPlayer installed you simply roll your mouse over any video on any website and a little popup comes up saying 'do you want to download this video'.

But I accept your point, if you don't have RealPlayer already installed then go for your option.

Agreed. Once Real Player is installed ( free from above link ) downloading videos from everywhere is a one click job. I have downloaded and checked out a whole heap of crap from the net and a lot of it doesn't work , has strings attatched or worse lets in a trojan. Real Player is the most useful thing I've downloaded by a country mile and I use it almost everyday to download a film from the net to watch on t.v. in the evening.

I am a fan of RealPlayer too, so much I pay a $5 monthly fee for their SP version. Customer Service is top notch too!

But even the free one is great.

Haven't tried this but read somewhere that you can just replace the Y in YouTube with a 3 so it's 3outube fir downloading the as well

Yeah, it'is kinda tricky if u ask me to use this method of adding all sorts of words in the YouTube url to download the videos you like. After all as I noticed the YouTube videos u download this way are in flv format and u need a flv player to watch them, not to mention the fact that transfering YouTube videos u just downloaded to the phone is out of the question.
Instead of these methods to save YouTube videos, I'd also definitely rather use an app that has functions especially created to capture and save YouTube videos in different other formats. Lately I've been using Tunebite to record YouTube videos I like.The free version lets u record videos from youtube and other such websites and save them to your pc in let's say, for example, avi or other formats.
It's actually pretty easy to star using Tunebite's YouTube Downloader, if u need any help also take a look at this tutorial I found on this:
