winamp file is not a valid file extension.
Whats a winamp file? winamp is a media player, have you associatted the files with winamp or something?
It's an avi file if thats any help.
You have downloaded an .avi file and your computer has associated it with Winamp
Does it play OK with winamp
Are you copying it to CD or DVD and using which program?
Really doesn't matter what kind of file it is. Have you tried to simply copy it to CD using Windows copy function or some other program like Nero? If so and it doesn't copy, the file may have a built in copy protection.
Plays O.K in minamp I'll try to download it with a different program
no need to download it again, right click on it, go to properites and tell us what the file extension is.
Right clicked and gone to properties can't see any thing about file extension?

If the file is in a folder, open the folder, then View, Details. You will see file name with .??? after the name. You will also see the file size.
As I said in my previous post, if all you want to is copy to CD try what I said.
Might be a .MKV file
Fondles, many thanks mate got it sorted.
