Question Using Mac for Thai Windows apps -- best emulator?

    .
There is very useful Thai software available for maps, Thai-language learning, and Thai-English dictionaries.
Problem is, they are all written for Windows.
So what's the best Windows emulator for the Mac that can run Thai Windows software, especially Thai fonts?

Must allow copy-paste between Windows and Mac apps.

My first foray into this realm was a mistake: I bought "CrossOver".
Most of my Thai Windows software wouldn't work properly with that: fonts turned into gibberish, or so small that impossible to read, and some Thai Windows apps wouldn't install at all on CrossOver.
CrossOver may be useful for other purposes, but I found it very bad for Thai Windows programs.

Does anyone have a better recommendation for PC emulation on the Mac?

    Thank you.

PS: If you happen to be in Chiangmai, and you would be willing to show me how to set up and use the software you recommend, the best steak dinner in town is on me.

All depends what sort of Mac you're using an older G4/5 PPC or newer Macbook with an Intel chip

Apple - Downloads - Productivity Tools - Thai Dictionary

^ Looks like you need to be able to read Thai script to use them...

BTW, What's John Squire up to nowadays?

    Thanks for posting.

That Apple link is the "Longdo" dictionary which is designed for fluent Thai speakers.
The same database is also available on the web at Longdo Dictionary

On the other hand, there is a variety of Windows software designed for beginner and intermediate learners.
That's what I'm asking about here.
I expect that many expats, who are Mac owners, would be interested in running some of that software on recent model Macs.
(I use a MacBook with Intel Core 2.)

The emulators I know about are Virtual PC, Parallels, and BootCamp.
I tried CrossOver, with bad results.
So I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with any of the other three, specifically for Thai software and Thai fonts.

You've listed pretty much all the main ones, I think a few will come with a free trial.

Yes, names of the emulators are well-known.
    Free trials are common.
What is not so easy -- the essential point in this thread -- is which emulator works smoothly with Thai fonts and Thai applications?
Do anyone have personal experience actually using?

Isnt that the whole point of having a free trial? To see if its something you could use?

Why dont you try them and see for yourself what works best?

Isn't it actually a Thai font problem? I have found that only 2 Thai fonts actually work with many applications, ie in linux and windows, most of the other Thai fonts will only work on a very small amount of programs.

Please CANCEL my request in the OP (for information about running Thai Windos software on Mac.)

Just now, on a different forum, I found several posts from people with first-hand experience in doing that.
No need to continue my questions here.

    Thank you.
