Thread: True ADSL on TOT phone line

Can I get True internet on a TOT phone line?

Obviously because TOT likes to block thinks like YouTube they can get fekked.

Sadly as far as I know marmers the answer is no.

well im sure i get my phone bill from TOT (says Tot on the envelope)and then i get my bill from true normally 2 days after so i'd say yes

My phone bill is TOT and I have True ADSL 2 meg. I had True Hi speed but had to get ADSL as I couldn't get Voip to work over it as it was far from Hi Speed. It costs me just under 3k a month.

^ The True Hi-Speed is that 800 Baht package, right?

I had the 1200 baht package which was good (ish) but the 'ping' whatever that is was really bad in the evenings. The 'ping' made me sound like I was underwater on my Voip. You can tell I'm really not an IT guy.

I just want it for DLing movies and posting bollocks on TD. I think the 1200 package sounds good enough.

I've got the 700 TOT package ad it works, most of the time.. When we were down south I tried the various other packages but nothing eas suststantially better than the 700.

Mines the same TOT package, think its 790bt for 1.5 meg. Does voip fine. 3 grand a month for 2 meg sounds like a rip off to me

It is a rip off but I tried and persisted with the Hi Speed and it just couldn't handle my VOIP. Two years ago it was fine but it just got worse. It's working great now. I know I'm paying OTT but I need it to work or I can't make any money.

From a business point of view 3000 isn't too bad and my london number is working OK so customers have no idea i'm over here.

I'm just worried about TOT and their nasty habit of blocking stuff. I used to have CSLoxinfo on a TOT line. I might see what they can offer as well.

Id have gone with CSLox again but we cant get it round here, stuck with TOT now. It does the job.

If you subscribe your whole package through True, you will, by default, get a landline bill from TOT, on TOT letterhead, but you go ahead and pay this at True along with your normal bill.

If you already have a TOT line, True should be able to take it over with the broadband package.

As far as censorship, for some unknown reason, all the porno sites etc., seem to be available and unblocked, whereas a few months ago they were all blocked, and even youtube occasionally.
