Yes, bought it in Central near Chiangmai airport, the Mac Zone shop.

Never stop to surprise me, so many free apps available on the net and playing WoW on it is just so much beautiful than on my last PC. No need to mention Time Machine, a great feature.

Google have released a plugin for Safari and Firefox that enables Google Earth through your browser for Google earth embedded sites, you can play with our planet in full 3D glory through your browser.

Just click on the download option, dont worry about the API guff.

Google Earth API - Google Code

    The Windows ones released already.

It sort of works in Camino as well although they dont say the plugin supports it at this time.

If you do install it its a 48mb download and it installs an update checker daemon.

This site has the earth embedded so you can play with it.

TakItWithMe - TakItWithMe Embedded Google Earth Code Generator

I use the old version of azureus myself. I used transmission for quite a while but its just a bit too limited for me, plus its banned on a lot of private trackers so you cant keep your ratio up with it. Horses for courses.

Right, I rarely use torrents, and mainly from Mininova and piratebay. No ratio rules there.

Ive been downloading a few FLAC files lately and though I'd just play them in QuickTime, found out it doesnt play FLAC files. I know VLC plays them but Ive gone off it after downloading a new release as it was buggy and not really much of an improvement, so off I went trawling the internet and came across this

    Cog - News

    Open source audio player

I can play all my AVI and Xvids in QuickTime with the Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTimeŽ components components.
Pretty small if you run XSlimmer on it, 8 or so mb.

Perian pretty much rules the QuickTime roost.

Ten Tools To Keep Your Mac In Tip-Top Shape | MakeUseOf.com

    Out of these Ive used
    Main Menu
    Onyx
    Ice Clean

Im running Main Menu for now, didnt like Onyx for some reason and Ice Clean was OK but I fancied a change.

Since I have joined the gay club of Mac owners with my new mini Mac, I would like to know what I will need to download so I can run FrontShow with AVI/WMV/DivX files

I am assuming that QT must be taken over everything as usual, so where can I download the free codecs for DivX ?

That Plex thing seems quite nice, even better than FrontShow, will need to try that

Macs are great toys, horrible for doing serious work, but amazing to fuck around and try new shit, a lot of fun

Ive never actually used one for HD stuff so I dont really know. I'd guess if its a Dual Core it should be fine as long as its got a quick HDD.

My iMac at 2.1Ghz has no problem with 1080p video from my camcorder, although i am running with 2Gb RAM. I never got a chance to try it with my Macbook though which is more in line with the mini - beer spill and not replaced it yet.

Nice to see youve finally come out BF, liberating isnt it?

If you get pissed off with the OS you can always make it a dual boot and have XP/Vista/OSX as long as its an Intel one.
