    Moore's Law

I honestly though this had to be a pisstake, so I ordered it to see what I'd get:

    Moore's Law-untitled-jpg

Bugger me sideways if it isn't actually kosher, and not only that comes with two adapters for USB C and Micro-USB B.

You know it's only 8gb with the file system hacked so it shows as 2tb, right?

    This.

Get some program that tells you what the chip is and you might find out it's not the real deal.
Or just try to put 2TB of data on it.

While Sandisk and Kingston do make a 1TB USB flash drive and they are hugely expensive, neither make a 2TB flash drive, the 2TB Flash drives sold on the Internet are fake, they really only are 8GB flash drives with the file system hacked so it shows up as a 2TB flash drive, but it is not.

If you purchase a 2TB flash drive for $20, here’s what you can expect:

    • Most devices include a small flash chip (from 8GB to 32GB) with minor modifications to a small amount of writable space located on the beginning of the drive.
    • When accessing the drive, most operating systems will see a 2TB volume (or a 1TB volume, depending on the manufacturer’s claims). However, the actual capacity of the device is much smaller.
    • If the user tries to write a larger file to the flash media, the drive will appear to function normally — but obviously, it cannot write to the sectors that don’t exist. Larger files will appear usable after the “transfer,” but when the drive is unplugged from the computer, the data will disappear.
    • Because the drive is operating as intended, the user will not receive any error notifications when transferring files that exceed the drive’s actual capacity.

Try to load a larger than 8GB file on it - easy to check.

It's very small, so would likely get very hot when transferring large files?

Also, unlikely to be Samsung, as a 128GB small (ish) drive is ten times that price. Thus, probably made in China non-Samsung fake. But, that doesn't matter if it works well. 2TBs though???

Perhaps Hazz should change his name to IT expert or manager?

IT Manager was the nick of an admin on early Thai Visa, or maybe one of the Pattaya forums, but pretty sure TV, that got done for underage girls and they wiped (or tried to wipe) him from the database.

These fake flash drives have been banging around tinterwebs for a while now. Even Amazon has them listed along with screes of fake positive reviews.

Still, 93baht is a cheap lesson. I'd be happy with that.

Still, it's disappointing to learn that for all his fluff with regards to tech, Hazza is greener than Seamus McGinty on Saint Patrick's Day.

Yeah, so they must be using some magical trick that lets you copy 57Gb of TV to an 8Gb drive and keep the "fake" filesystem fooled.

Since I copied the files from a NAS, just for shits and giggles I'll copy a 26Gb folder back to my desktop.

Because if it works either they've invented the compression algorithm of all time or, more probably, you're just a dopey bunch of c u n t s.

    Well just fancy that.

So I have a NAS folder with nigh on a TB of movies in it.

Who reckons it won't copy to that drive then?

Didn't read the reviews of those that actually tested it properly, eh.

    (click one star review filter)
it's fake, real size is 7.54 GB speed 6mb/sec

    Fake....

Data transferred to the thumb drive wasn't completely stored !!! Untrustable Thumb drive !!!

this is a fake. you cannot format it to be sure it is 2TB. my mobile phones do not recognize it and refuse to access it. my computer cannot format it properly. it is a scam. there is no option for refund

It is useless. Windows 10 can not see it only for a meg. 555, It is 2 TB, really, thatt is fake..

Fake. DL/ UL speed is approximately 2MB/ second. Stay away.

This device is fake, not a real flash drive. Computer recognises it as 2TB drive but when I try to write some large files the writing speed goes down and nothing can be read afterwards - all the data is corrupted. Actual size is a few gigabytes. I'm amazed how shit like that is allowed and how it has top choice status.
it is very bad read and write not over 20mb and 6mb copy documents 50GB it successful only 10GB Stuck this it Bad

in testing . ended. real capacity 8 gb

And on and on and on for.... 19... yes, 19 pages.
