I like my Xiaomi RealMi Watch 2 Pro, or something like that. Was 3-4k baht I think. Good for tracking exercise. The GPS is more accurate for distances ran/cycled than Strava on the phone.

Gives a big break down of your night's sleep (the different stages etc) if I wear it at night, which I don't.

I have no problem with Beijing or anyone else having all my personal data.

You're killing yerself buddy. You'll be dead by 60 the way you're going on.... Overweight, working all day everyday without any downtime, drinking every night and then not sleeping.

The 2 or 3 shifts of 6 weeks offshore per year must surely cover all annual expenses, given that you're debt free with at least two properties owned (that you've mentioned).

Fok all that other work off and chill the fudge out.

I tracked my sleep for a couple of years using a Withing's smartwatch. It only gives notifications and alarms as a smartwatch but is good at tracking sleep and recording cycling/walking data. It was also much cheaper than a Garmin and looked more like a watch than a smartwatch. Actually I chose it because it looked similar to my Junkers automatic. No subscription is required, which was also a factor in my choice. The other main selling point is that I only needed to charge the watch every couple of weeks and it didn't take very long.

I mentioned on a TD thread that I was looking for a new Smartwatch, mainly so I could track blood pressure, which the Samsung 5 advertises. However, when I looked into it the accuracy is poor and Garmin have decided not to bother even trying to measure blood pressure. That means I will stick to the blood pressure monitor I already have.

I really don't need a smartwatch to do lots of smart things phone-wise, I just carry my phone with me as and when I think I might need it. I don't use a phone for work, but prefer e-mail instead if they want anything. I always prefer work related stuff to be in writing with acknowledgement rather than a phone call.

Anyway, I don't wear my smartwatch any longer, I prefer to wear a normal watch. I found my sleep was severely affected by inconsistency as well as alcohol. Nowadays, I go to bed early and about the same time every night and wake up early, getting around 7-8 hours every night. Sounds boring but it works for me and blood pressure is way better as well.

I've got a Garmin Venu SQ, which was the cheapest decent sport/smart watch I could find. Mainly bought it for tracking my morning walks, but it also tracks my sleep amount and quality, heartbeat and breathing, stress levels and "body battery". I can also use it for my bike rides, but it doesn't connect to any of my Garmin bike sensors which is a bummer.
My biggest quibble with it is that the charging cable sometimes needs a bit of a wiggle after plugging in to the watch to connect properly.

I have bouts of bad sleep too. I don't have a watch but my phone knows my sleep.

Sometimes it feels good to know that you got more sleep than you expected you did.

Have you tried using sleep hypnosis YouTube videos ? Put one of them on quiet on your earbuds and it should help

    I've got a Garmin Venu 2.

I primarily bought it to count laps while swimming.
It has a large display, and I can read the display without my glasses on. (anything smaller is just a blur)

    It does track sleeping though:
    Here's my sleep last night.

Jeeez. 8.5 hours and still no good. I'd be happy to get over 8 hours, even light sleep

Funnily enough, I've used them in the past and they work.

Also a good book can send you off after an hour.

Physical exercise and no alcohol is the way to go, easier said than done though..
