Was touch and go for a while, power fixed but wasn't booting the bodgy windows. Finally resolved without having to leave it the shop while I stay awake sweating for 24 hours.
They have original Win 10 for 3,900thb.
Or the Lulu version for 300thb.
1,800thb with an SSD 256Gb and my sheeet backed up on it.
My current drive is almost 1TB (C: 200gb, D:730gb) and almost full.
Gotta go for a 1TB SSD, right? Looked like 256 was the biggest they had.
Or 1 TB of sheeeet on a harddrive can fit onto a 256Gb SSD?
'ang on.
I can have both?
Can I install both HDD and SSD in a single PC? - Quora.
So can just get the SSD and Windows to run on that, and then keep the current HDD (D drive) though it will be slower when running the stuff that's on that?
That would work just fine and yes the stuff on the HD will load slower than the stuff on the SSD. You can add as many SSD's and HD's as you like provided you have enough connections on your motherboard. I currently have two SSD's and one each internal and external HD's. No sweat.
So when I click on 'My Computer', it will show the C drive that is the 256gb SSD that's running the OS, and the D drive which is my current 730Gb HD?
You'll be right, Fast Eddie.
My desktop has a 256 GB SSD, used solely for the operating system, and a 1 TB mechanical hard drive for storage. Boots up really fast and works a treat.
Good job.
Judging by today's messages from a previous.... worshipper, that is back and just finished their 14 days of Q, might have some extra worshipping files to fill it up with later. Blimey. Asked to worship in my condo a few weeks ago upon arrival, but had to delay and then Q. Some crazy sheeet about worshipping from them today.
Our lord and savoir cares for all the peoples of this World.
And for the computers. I have the proof to show it.
My son had given me a computer monitor, a quite good one, because he had changed for a 4k high res version. But something was wrong. White text had horrible rainbow borders. I tried everything, changing cables, changing ports at the graphic card, at the monitor, even tried another graphic card. Problem remained.
I left it on to show my son, when he visited on Easter sunday. After lunch I switched the computer on. He asked me, what is the problem? There was no more problem. The only thing that had changed since the morning was the Pope giving his blessing Urbi et Orbi. That must be it.
That's years ago and not a problem with that monitor since. True story, it happened exactly like this.
"don't attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by incompetence"
This thread has filled me with gladness.
And a good idea.
That involves quite a lot of masturbation.
Holy foooookin' Moly. Right. Better not comment about that.
Jesus Christ.
Oh yaeh, computer, working fine. Cheers Jesus.
Edit. Fook it, I think I'm gonna write a book just about today.
have you ever looked inside your desktop ?
power supply swap is very similar to the power cable swap you just tried , except for 4 screws that hold the power supply to the case
hard drive swap is very similar - just one power plug and one data plug
put the old hard drive in a external usb enclosure
buy a 2.5 inch 1 TB samsung 860 evo SSD
All's well ends well. I did say a little prayer even though you edited my pic without permission
Technology can be temperamental. It's great when it works, otherwise, lots of patience involved.
