Moving or downloading Apps to phone's SD Card?

The Ram on me Samsung J5 (I think - Dill will know) is almost full, so cannot download any more apps without deleting others first. Don't really want to delete the main ones - Line, messenger, fitness ones etc.

It apparently has 8Gb on the phone, but my SD card is 32Gb and has 16Gb free.

Got all me vids and pics etc on the SD card, is there a way to either downloads apps to, or move the current apps, to the SD Card?

If not, will buy one with more Ram, but rather not go to the bother of buying one and setting up my Apps etc there because I'm a lazy bollox.

Can move or download Apps to the SD card?

    Cheers chaps/chappettes.

Apps reside on ROM. RAM is what the apps use to run.
So if your RAM is used up, just turn off the apps you don't constantly use, the fitness app for example.
    But 8G should be plenty.
I suspect you've run out of ROM.

As an aside, download Greenify and follow the instructions to hibernate apps when you aren't using them.

^ Doesn't your phone do that itself by just turning off sync and disabling notifications?

the rom contains the operating system for your device - the programs reside on the storage - either built in or addon
the prorams will be executed and computations done in the ram with some values written to storage

all the info is available at the link I psted above

    Put simply, no.

Turning off sync is maybe going to save some data. Turning off notifications is going to stop you, er, getting notifications.

    WTF are you on about?

Good shot baldrick. Manaam will be so determined to prove you wrong that he'll spend hours fruitlessly googling.

    ^ ^putting apps to sleep,
although I guess my way is more euthanasia than hibernation?
What does hibernation do? Just stop them running in the background until theres a notification?

Not all apps have notifications, so if it's apps that you only use when you need them, it stops them running in the background once you've started them.

Try it, it's a piece of piss. You install it, follow the instructions to give it the permissions it needs, then just go through your apps and select the ones that you don't need on all the time, then click the zzz button.

It works better with rooted devices, but it will still do a decent job on stock ones.

Why would I do that? Baldrick has a reputation for knowing this sort of stuff.

It means something to you, obviously.
At least I know I'm capable of making mistakes and don't mind admitting it, unlike infallible Harry.

It's not your mistakes, it's the fact that you spout shit like...

....Without having a fucking clue what you're talking about.... yet you seem to think you do.
