C drive full.

Any suggestions how a retard can easily and foolproofly free up space - theres 500gig free on the D drive?

It's a partitioned drive, i use Windows 7 ultimate 64bit.

I could do it before with older windows, but i'm bollocksed if i can do it now.

A free download would be nice, because i'm technically a bit shit.

Move stuff (cut and paste) from the C drive to the D drive (especially large files like music, photos and videos, etc). Right click a folder in the C drive, click CUT. Go to the D drive, find a location you want to put the folder, right click, PASTE. Repeat as necessary. Simple. Tip: start with a small folder first so you can see it works.

Just tried that with a few photo files - freed up 3 gig at first try.

right click on the drive, then choose properties, the disk cleanup

Get an external hard drive and put all your photos videos etc on it.
I do that anyway in case the computer crashes or gets stolen you still have the all important pics.

Just change the destination of where it gets downloaded to.. ie, your D Drive

BTW...you must have a load of crap on there as although my C drive is 150GB and it only uses about 36GB to run Windows

If you are sending Torrents to your C drive this my be why is filling up,if so try sending your torrents to one of your other drives .

I nuked the Hibernate option, as I never used it .

Now you've freed it up, keep all your shit (movies, tv shows, music, photos, porn) on the D drive.

Also buy an external harddrive and copy them all onto it, as backup.
