Recently learned of a free encrypted email server out of Iceland. All they want is your user name and a password, not your name, address or your zip code, or how many times you surfed porn sites last week.

Just your user name and a password. They do ask for another email so they can send you your password in case you lose it, but you can put a fake one down.

My old craptop has dodgy audio and usb drivers but it's out of warranty and the manufacturers want money to sort it. The mike, speakers and webcam are all buggered. Do you think if I leave it online and unattended long enough, the NSA will sneak in through a 'back door' and fix all that for me for free?
