Well, True is currently the only option the it comes to mobile data in Thailand. My experience is that they have better coverage then the others.
Anyone have a link to a safe site to download Adblock?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...&appver=35.0.1 for firefox 35
in firefox , open a tab to amanage your addons
ctrl+shift+A or about:addons
Go figure this one, my 400 Baht a month DTAC ran out last night, not going to pay 400 Baht for 35 kbs.
So go over to the 20 Baht a day pay as you go DTAC, now getting 400 kbs, same aircard, same sim, same everything, hows that work.
Don't know what the 20 Baht a day gives, but downloaded 1 . 2 GB since this morning [TV] still going strong.
Think the idea is for phones, pay 20 Baht and you get access to the net for the day, comes out of your prepaid.
Just don't understand the download speed difference.
I'm happy if it keeps up, 50% more, maybe not, some days not home, no net, , no pay.
Just find it hard to understand, used DTAC 400 BT for over a year, then suddenly drops from about 200 kbs to 35 kbs.
Pay 20 baht a day and getting near on 400 kps. as long as I can get my TV to watch all is good. Jim
Lots of packages avalible with Dtac...it's just a question of finding the right one
Hot Packages | dtac
Add-on Unlimited Internet | dtac
Add-on Volume-based Internet | dtac
^Getting 12 GB at AIS air card for 800/mo. Excellent speed.
With AIS...once you have used your allocated 12 GB of download you are then throttled back to 256 kbps.......With my TOT package I get up to 10 GB download speeds with unlimited usage meaning I can download as much as I like each month .
Add-on Data Packages |
To be honest, I don't need high speed internet, just a steady signal to download TV overnight, 3G would be nice, but costs to benefits.
Will have to find some steady system, but this 20 B a day will do for now, pain though, have to put the SIM card in a phone every day and phone up for another 20 B worth.
Not going to be any land lines out here for many years to come, got to live with it.
I have not been throttled back as you call it...difficult to use up 12 GB for me.Originally Posted by boloa
