well the acer guy changed the motherboard but my system is still unstable - so he is taking it back to their workshop.

now i am wondering what embarassing stuff i have on my hard disk

well thats it KWs relationship chart is gone......

the Acer bastards had to reset my PC back to its original state so all the unnecessary guff is no more.

many moons ago i did take the wise precaution of backing up my data - so my PC is in the same condition it was back in July 2006! But it only seems like yesterday that I took that Norton Ghost image...........

they replaced the motherboard by the way - but it was still unstable and crashed just after booting - but now touch wood it seems ok after everything has been re-installed from scratch.

Why would you lose data from your HD when they replaced the MB? MKJ.

the computer still refused to boot up properly so they used the system restore cd which brings the PC back to its original state as it was when it left the factory (actually its a Norton Ghost image cd or somehting)

actually now i think of it i did copy all of the contents of My Documents to my other PCs hard drive before it went for repair. I will check that tomorrow for KWs love chart
