That's what I thought. One step up from a Khao San Road jobbie.

I'm going to CMN's school for a job. He can be my reference. Tell them I'm a top geezer & all that.
See you next month, CMN!
Any employer that can't suss out a fake degree within two hours of talking with the prospective employer deserves what he gets.
You don't think that's easy to spot?
I'll be okay when CMN puts a good word in for me
^^ You think Khun Noi who works for the school admin has the English ability and patience to do anything else than contact the office of the registrar and maybe google the university? If even do that. Schools want native speakers, these are all fine and dandy as far as the MOE are concerned. Everyone's happy - Teacher, school, students, MoE
Many happy people working here because of 'em.
Let us know how you get on SO.
Well I have decided I want to be a brain surgeon, I have watched a couple of documentries on it and it seems pretty simple, obviously mistakes can happen for even the best surgeon, but I reckon if I don't get too pissed up the night before my first few operations, and don't drink too much during the old operations it should be alright, so which degree should I buy? and would it be worth buying a couple of others in related fields? I am quite interested in breasts and that, so maybe a plastic surgery degree and a gynochologist one?
And be careful, if you go for the PhD at $400 it might seem like a bargain, but if your employer wants to see your MA/MS and BA/BS you might be scrooged. So that bundle will end up costing you over a $K.
And then there's the sticking points of what classes you took, what you enjoyed most, what was your thesis (can I look at it?) Ka-ching! -- thesis' don't come cheap.
If you're a teacher ... let me see the lesson plans you've made, what are your opinions of integrating multiple intelligences in the classroom and preferred strategies for interactive learning? Doh!
I must admit, however, the OP appears to have at least a few credit hours in schlepping bogus crap on the internet. Well done, you're fired.
^ But for your bog-standard school in Thailand they ain't gonna ask you that. Their only interest is can you pass the MOE standard and can you start tomorrow.
Teaching experience? Teaching qualifications?
Don't be silly.
so why all the secrecy??Originally Posted by Megahorn

No, can't say that. Dodgy degree would be good enough for the school, if you're not talking about a high-paying school. For the MOE, that may be another thing.
Also depends on your school. They may have some 'sway' with the right people but if the laws change, you get caught, or your school gets raided don't expect your school to back you up. A colleague of mine had a pay dispute with the school and got dobbed in by his school for using fraudulent docs that were given to him by the school to complete his teachers license and visa requirements.
Some people think it don't, but it be.
How much? Bank details and mother's maiden name please.
So it's possible?
I'm not worried about being caught, so long as I get a good run out of it.
How do I find out which school would take me on?
Their sign outside says "Engrish Skool."

People who have a degree from the university of life, well done! Bear in mind however that graduates from registered institutes of higher education not only have a degree from the university of life, but also have a piece of paper confirming a supplement degree, which will open many more doors than the former.
Recognised degrees (like the ones most of us earned through hard work) are only provided by nationally 'accredited' universities and institutions. If a prospective employer makes even the most basic enquiry, that employer will soon be able to determine whether or not the 'Hicksville No Pain University' is accredited. In most countries, representing one of these documents as a genuine degree would be a crime, since you are getting your job and pay (a 'gain') by fraudulently representing that you have undertaken an academic course (and all that implies).
A KSR degree coming soon...
