Anybody have a cheap car seat for sale or rent - for a 2 3/4 year old.?

Shit I wished I did. I gave two away to Thais, one family who had to have one, the other my wifes sisters daughter. They ended up not using them. "The baby cried when we put her/him into it."

Frick me I wish I still had one to give to you. With that statement I really had no reply. Good luck. One is very necessary here. Mine stayed in the seat until about 7 years old as they were girls, the seats were safe, they sat up high in the back seat, but most of all they had seat belts like Michael Schumacher. This was years ago. 3 point system.

I would much rather get a second hand one than have to spend 5000+ on a new one when I arrive for only a week. Then have to sell it.

Certainly essential with a wriggling child.

If you're renting a car form an international company, they should have child seats that you can also rent.

Sister in laws car so no renting.

5K won't get much of a seat from a safety perspective- for a proper, NHTSA-certified brand like Graco or Chicco, you'll end up spending several times that amount in LOS.

Sorry, but I have no idea who'd rent them out beside a car rental agency.
