How is the Cube?
The first time I went to Yokosuka, myself and a couple of other guys were late getting to the bus to the base. There was room for our bags, but not for us, so we threw the bags on the bus and a fellow that had lived there got us to the famous Hotel Yokosuka by bus, then taxi (my first time in a right hand drive) and then by train.
We got to the hotel, found out we've got the ride the ship the day after next for sea trials and that we could pick up our bags in the morning (it was about midnight when we got to the hotel).
The next morning, one of the guys is banging on my door, saying there's a problem. He'd smuggled a gram of green along the way and was worried about his bag. We get a taxi to the base and go to the BOQ as I recall and there are our bags, lined up on the sidewalk, as if the police had laid them out that way.
The entire time I'm going over my story if the police start asking me questions, we walk over to the bags and a sailor yells out from the building, "Are those yours?" We respond in the affirmative and load them in taxi. It wasn't until I got back to the hotel until I could take a deep breath.
Very interesting photos. Salamat.
Where are all the people?
Summer break so schools out and the shots were on the weekend. But will try to get some people shots in the next round but off the base pictures.
Spent the weekend up at the NAF Atsugi base and partied Friday night in the local town of Yamato. Had forgotten how much more fun it is to party up there than here in Yokosuka.
