Looking for house to rent in town area

Hi,

I have been renting a condo in Chiang Mai, just behind the Night Bazaar road, for about 15 months and now want to rent a small house in the same area. Or even something bigger than a 1 room condo. Am currently paying 5K a month plus power/water.
Would like to be somewhere between Thapae and Loi Kro roads, as most of my work happens around night bazaar (I work as a buyer and shipping agent).
Anyone know if anything like that is available, or a good agency to deal with ?

You're not going to find a house around there for 5K/month unless you master time travel and go back to 1948

Cannot do the time travel thing.
What about just across the river, in the Rimping area, looks ok around there and not too far from town area.

Have you tried using the online listings? houseinchiangmai.com has many, but I think you'll have to shop pretty hard to find a house in that area. I've been in the neighborhood for a year, and there's not much stand-alone residential property available. For cheap houses, Saraphee is hard to beat, and a short ride into the NB.

We do most of our business in both the Night Bazaar and Hang Dong and would like to find something in between. Don't like using road 108, the traffic is bad at times. Usually use the road that goes through Nong Hoi and Nong Phueng. Would like to find something in this area. Does anyone who lives in that area have any advice regarding finding a place to rent ?
I looked on houseinchiangmai.net but have not found anything as yet.
