most car hires are in town; you hardly need to be dropped off at the airport as it is just a B100 taxi ride away

Are you Thai size!!? those are real mini cars

    I searched with

    http://www.carrentals.co.uk/car-hire...mai-guide.html

and got a price for a small economy car of B6000 a week, and B1200 a day, from the airport

OK not too bad, although you can get larger older cars for B1000 a day in town

Thai Rent a Car. They pick you up and drop off at the airport even though their office is in town (nearby the airport).

The Toyota Yaris is plenty big enough for 2 people who want to explore the North or just cruise around Chiang Mai.

Plenty of leg room and enough room to throw all your kit in.

Great fuel economy , plenty of power and very stable for the mountains up that way.

Last year I hired a new Yaris from Avis out of the Airport and received a good price for 12 days over the internet.

    The monthly rentals are brilliant.
