Chiang Mai - Where is it?

Now I've only been to Chiang Mai a couple of times, I know it's only a small town but there obviously was a couple of places I didn't see, so here is the first one, thats a pretty recognisable door, hate to think how much that would cost to make now.

I assume it is a swing out door looking at the roller on the bottom, anyway here is the building, so where in Chiang Mai is it and what is it for?

Maybe a church? But why a door like that?

Looks to be some sort of part to one of the gates around the moat? No real idea though really, it is pretty distinctive but I don't recall ever having seen it before.

I assume it is a new addition or has it been renovated? Hardly looks like its 5 years old let alone a few hundred.

The present gateways were reconstructed in the late 1960s. Reflecting the importance of commerce, the most commonly used gate for city events today is Thapae Gate. The open concourse in front of the gate is used for anything from beauty contests to political rallies. At each of the corners and gates, modern inscriptions in English give information about each place. These may be found facing the road on the outer side of the moats.

    Chiang Mai Temple

Probably too easy that last one, although I had no idea where it was, thought it might have been an elephant camp or something, so onto the next one, what and where is this temple in Chiang Mai?

Wat Suan Dok: a 14th century temple located just west of the old city-wall. The temple was built by the King of Lanna for a revered monk visiting from Sukhothai to spend the rains retreat. The name translates as "the field of flowers temple." There are several unique aspects to this temple. One is the temple's large ubosot (ordination hall). This is unusual not only for its size, but also that it is open on the sides instead of enclosed. Secondly, there are a large number of chedis housing the ashes of the rulers of Chiang Mai. The temple is also the site of Mahachulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya Buddhist University.

Not so sure about that one myself -- Tha Pae's one of the areas/gates that I know best and I don't recall ever seeing it there (mind I haven't been in a wee while).

    Chiang Mai Seafood Restaurant
    Nang Nuai
A well established restaurant on the river front where seafood is cooked in both Thai and Western styles. Lunchtime is a non seafood buffet and so best at night. 22 Koh Klan Road, Chiangmai (053 281 961).

Time to make it a bit more difficult so whilst my mate was in Chiang Mai he booked one of those treks, so, name the elephant camp, the river, the name of the elephant that can paint, his or her offspring, the name of the hill tribe village, and of course what color underpants he was wearing
