Since I will soon be back in CM, I thought it would be good to meet a few of you locals I have been interacting with.

CMN, FFrankie, Benbaa and all

any ideas, if you want to meet up?

end October, November would be best

There's this Germany bewery behind Carrefour That is supposed to have shit/great food and shit/great beer (depemds on who your talkng to, I guess) i've been threatenting to try for about a year now. BB likes teh Chiangmai Saloon, CmN likes any place that has beer, For someone that doesn;t go out much I am becoing a regular at the Pirates Cove Bar. The corner bar is easy to find and a good place for a some decent thai food and cold beer, Mad Dogs ain;t bad. The irish Pub is good too, even if the bar is upstairs. I'd mention The Duke's as well, but bein' all you other fuckers come from that foggy isle you'd probably embarrass the hell outta me in front of all my missionary home-boys...

Fog (Smog) in the UK pretty much died out after the Clean Air Act of 1956, although it can still be a bit misty come November.

as for FF being an American, at least he has had the sense to actually realise that there are other countries in the world

meeting place....CM Saloon is OK, Irish bar can be OK sometimes. other places

It's a bit too far for a drink, would have stay overnight, so best if I work it in with something else.
I do have to come to CM soon for some boring bureaucratic reasons like passport and things but I think it will be before the end of October.
Will it be safe to meet CMN if he knows that I am carrying a passport ?

I hope to be there until Spring, about mid-March CMN

Thetyim, no problems about staying in CM, guesthouses are cheap and OK
hotels are not too bad either

London is a fairly clean city; I cycle around a lot and my nose is clean (as they say). The worst offenders are diesel trucks and busses, and those are now being restricted.

true, there is a really good basic Thai place (Chinese run) near the 3 Kings, in the Sunday market Street "Khao Tom Nung Baht"

or anywhere else......maybe that would not be the best place for sitting around chatting...on to a bar after, maybe "The Zoo" bar near Irish Pub?

then on to CM that afternoon, hopefully (if the airport is where it says it is and assuming transfers are easy)
