^I like the little boy surrounded by books. Where was it taken?

I was told to buy the lumix LX3 panasonic, by a guy who sells cameras at an electronic shop here in Korea. He told me it takes great pictures in dark lighting.

I opted for a Canon powershot G10 instead. How much did you pay for the camera?

^ took the book picture at B2S. I paid around 16,000B for the LX3.

Good luck w/ the G10, it's a nice camera. I hope to see a photothread from Korea!

here are a few taken today:

Yup, excellent pictures. Another geek question, Bustak - Do you take the pics in RAW or jpg? The more pics i see from this camera the more i want to buy one.

Some good shots here as well - PANASONIC LUMIX LX3 BLOG

Nice pics. I enjoyed them. Thanks.

Though why spend hundreds on a modern, state-of-the-art camera, then take B&W pics with it, like something from 1950?

    I've never understood that.

^ it's the consistancy & ease of getting that 1950's or if you choose a 2009 look.

Tao, thanks a lot for that link, GREAT stuff!

The B&W pics have a different feel to them, an edge you don't get with colour

    but hardly 1950s

    I love this little camera:

I think Ruby (my CANON dSLR) is getting a little jealous of Sylvia (my LX3), I haven't been shooting w/ Ruby too much.

Yesterday i went to MBK with a mate to help him buy a small camera.

Before hand i advised him to look at several specs online including the LX3.

he liked it and bought one.

He then handed it to me and said i don't need it for two weeks I'll be away, test drive it for me and then you can tell me what to do.

So I have one to play with.

^ very nice, you 2 will be happy together. So much so you wont give her back, I wouldn't!

went to a hi-so pub last night called Warm-Up.

Had fun, even though they didn't serve LEO.
