Those figures are old.The labour govt has actually increased migration to Australia. A favoured Indian back door is a university degree course in australia and an application for residence once the degree is finished. Then followed by "family reunion" where every unqualified TD and H comes in followed by the obligatory return to the homeland for a wife and a spouse permit. Then of course the other is go to New Zealand and once granted a NZ passport continue on the original journey to Australia.
