Never thought to post it here so apologies for the delay.
Jenny Morgan, legendary Duck Lady of the Chiang Mai Sixes, sadly passed away in Australia the week before last.
She was revered by cricketers and supporters for the sadistic but humorous glee with which she relieved failing batsmen of their money, awarding them a small duck trophy to advertise their failure to all, usually bringing laughs and extra donations above the minimal Bt100 "fine" to the play involved.
Over the years she raised millions of baht, both at the Sixes and in the social mingling thereafter, which went to fund the kids coaching, education for the hill tribe kids and sundry other worthwhile causes.
She will be greatly missed by the Chiang Mai Sixes fraternity.
There will be some kind of Celebration of Life on the 10th January 2024, the same date as that of her late husband's, and I will post an update with venue and timing here for anyone who may wish to attend.
RIP Duck Lady, you were a shining star.
