KM's Visit to Chiang Mai

Ok all of you on the Northern Team...

I'm planning to spend a few days in CM at the end of the month arriving about the 28th...

upon Marmers recommendation I'm planning to stay at the Centara Duangtawan Hotel unless anyone has a better suggestion...
they are offering deluxe rooms at stay 3 nights pay for 2

would very much like to meet the TD northern members for a night of ...well I'll leave that to your imagination...

I'll be in the company of my lovely wife but she wants to bring her young nephew who is staying with us for the holidays. I explained to her that if he came she would have to stay with him in the evenings while I went out to visit friends. Her reply was 'it's a holiday, so go visit your friends and be happy'.

So I'm counting on the Northern Team to provide an extra dimension of happiness to my CM sojourn.

Oh, and Marmers, a relief driver would be welcome...

Make sure you go to the Dukes.

IMHO, it is the best restaurant in Thailand.

the Chiang mai lot are only into local people, they don't meet strangers KM, probably for the best really

although you maybe able to tempt the old grouchy one out, I heard frankie does go out on the odd occasion

ant never turns up, he will be at his castle eating the dead flesh from tourists, but apart from that Chiang Mai is quite nice

Chitown's right by the way, Duke's is amazing. Dunno about the best in Thailand but certainly amongst the best in Chiang Mai - beers don't taste any better/different but.

I can't make it on the 28th, but if you left BKK on late 25th/early 26th I'd be ok. Got to be back for work on the Monday though.

The only sports I pay attention to are after-hours sports. WE wont; get into it but I knew you were in town, even told one of them weak-assed ponny's you were visiting to have you give me call.

let's face it, you peed. wet your draws. You know us crazy fuckin 'merikans can out drink, out party and just about out do any fucking poovy, cricket playin ozzie, pom or kiwi that walks the planet. Next time you come to town I am going to hunt you down, bring the loudest, meanest, tartiest, flat-nastiest bar girls I can find to call you down from your air-conditioned hidy hole. We know y'all will wanna talk 'bout social structures and politics but they'll set you straight.

Don't worry KM, they're all hiding every time I come to Chiang Mai as well - apart from that big bouncer with the sunshades and the pony-tail. Don't let him squeeze your hand when he says hello.
