KM's Visit to Chiang Mai

Don't worry KM, they're all hiding every time I come to Chiang Mai as well - apart from that big bouncer with the sunshades and the pony-tail. Don't let him squeeze your hand when he says hello.

Well with sunshades on it cannot be the very polite quizzmaster cum bartender at UN. But tall, handsome and ponytale.... you could have fooled me.

Eh? Gruff's certainly not how I'd describe him, he's one hell of a nice guy actually. And he has what is quite possibly the world's largest collection of MP3's!

Gruff is not what I would call the man I had in mind.... he was a smiling, friendly roundish sort of huge man.... Some of the other gentlemen could easy be passed on as gruff but they were smaller, dryer....definitely not to be spoken to by a tourist.

Almost forgot...If KM still is in town and he is tired of steaks-pies & pizzas! There is a small Isaan place on Boonruangrit Rd -around 50m from the small soi leading to the back entrance of Kad Suan Kaew- serving very good juicy fried chicken and somtam.
They have other things on the menu but I haven't tried it so cannot green it!
