It's a bit like "soggy biscuit" but I believe only close family members are allowed to participate.

Here is a photo from Chiang Mai: It was a great day for pedestrian affairs and photography.
Photo taken with a 3 megapixel pocket camera and no filter.
The weather could not have been better.

I know my photographic ability is limited. I usually travel
solo, so a large number of the photos I take do not have someone
in them. Must a photo have to someone in it to be worthwhile?

I will be in CM from April 7th -16th. Staying at the Top North Hotel. Can anyone tell me of the best bars for "fun" in CM...???? I would enjoy meeting any local members of this wonderful forum. The Spiritual leader, and Mayor of soi Yodask, aka., "Dirty Dog", can vouch for my easy going, fun loving, nature. The first round is on me...!!! Choke dee krup..!!! mend

    He is here already.
His wife and kids dragged him away at 8.00pm leaving me alone and morose.

It could have been an elaborate plan something pre-arranged'....

I was dressed respectably in shirt and slacks, straight from work... shaven too.

FF told me last night that i been branded a 'right twat' and i had to get myself to this internet cafe to confirm it. I am very hurt and expect a full apology from you this afternoon CMN.

btw thanks for the night out FF. Some interesting bars in CM.....but disappointed there were only pretty young girls on display. You know my tastes are more similar to DD's - fat toothless hags

    not sure of the names.....

i was back at the hotel a little after midnight. My wife had wisely given me limited funds for the evening so my entertainment was limited to a bit of touchy feely with a rather nice young lady.

i cant comment on where FF went between midnight and 5.15. i assumed he was going home

it was a bit of a tiring day yesterday. We went on a tour which included elephant riding, oxcart ride and bamboo rafting.

i took a few pics and also got a video clip of an oxcart accident which happened to the other 4 people in our tour group. luckily no-one was hurt

I thought you were in Laos? I was going to call BB as well, but had short notice.

So. SBF tells me he will be out of town for a good part of the week, returning for the weekend just before returning to Singapore. We discussed a dinner for Saturday night. Let's offer up a nice Teakdoor welcome/farewell for SBF this Saturday at that restaurant that singer runs. I think it has another name but everyone seems to understand "Ran Soontree."

The food (Thai only, I think) was always good, the atmosphere comfortable and informal, but I've not been to the new place, they have re-located about 1 -2 Km up the river. Been by, looks nice and it is still on the river. All CM TeakDoorians are invited to attend; hell, if you're not from CM and want to, feel free to come.

Say, 7:00 PM, at the restaurant Saturday March 17. Family outing; kids, wives and/or mia nois welcome. Those wishing to attend, PM me, so I can have a ball-park figure of how many will be in attendance. Any questions or suggestions post them here.

Sounds like a good idea FF.

I will only bringing my wife and kids though. Whenever my mia noi turns up to such outings whilst my wife is in attendance the proceedings always take a turn for the worse

Went there two weeks ago , it was packed with small time mafiosi
(the non-interesting type) and their mia noi's. The food was late, cold, and
below average and, me not being mafiosi or a mia noi, the service was terrible.
Soontaree still sings there but I couldn't hear her 'coz the place was too big and
noisy. The old place was great but I won't be going back to the new one any
    time soon
