Most Thai food bought on the street is shit as it's made with shit ingredients.

I presume by 'farang food' you mean the rest of world cuisine? Most of it is infinitely better than the crap they eat here, so yes, I'm happy eating crappy Greek, Indian, Lebanese, Italian, Mexican, German, French, Japanese and English food.

The challenge should not be eating for 100 bt per day. It's easy (however mundane) to achieve and remain healthy.

The challenge should be can you live off 200bt per day, starting skint, everything included, and somehow end up with a motorsi, as so many Thais manage to do.

You are so wrong. Actually I'm kinda stunned how clueless you seem to be. Tourist food in Thailand is low grade at best. Local Thai street food is on par if not better than anywhere else in the world. Street food in bkk famous for its quality. Perhaps one of the few cities in the world with such notoriety.

    Good Video

While I wouldn't want to have to eat on 100 Baht a day, I found the video very informative. Thanks for sharing.

Exactly. Like India. Ingredients are shit because they are cheap. At the end of my street they sell every dish (that costs a tenner) in the west yet it is watered down, and the cuts of meat are around 50bt a kilo (chicken feet/intestines/general shit cuts.)

Why would anyone want to live like this?

I live in Chiang Mai, I live on "0" Baht per day - except for 6 bottles of Chang.

Then again, it might come in handy if you lost your wallet or rolled; I suppose

I think if you are living on B100 a day, it would not be out of choice
